As a Renewal Account Manager, you'll play a key role in protecting and growing recurring revenue from your book of mid-market accounts. Your focus will be on renewal execution, retention health, and relationship management, ensuring customer success and contract continuity year over year. This position emphasizes consistent renewal performance, operational excellence, and customer advocacy.
What You'll Do as a Renewal Account Manager
Renewal and Retention Execution
Own the full renewal lifecycle for assigned mid-market accounts
Drive proactive portfolio management to ensure high renewal rates
Coordinate and execute 120-day renewal engagement plans to mitigate risk of churn
Negotiate terms and timing with customer contacts and stakeholders
Customer Relationship Management
Deepen relationships with key stakeholders to ensure consistent value realization and product adoption
Act as a trusted advisor to customers on product utilization, goals, and outcomes
Connect with Customer Success and Support internally to solve customer challenges
Performance and Metrics
Deliver against Gross Revenue Retention (GRR) and Net Revenue Retention (NRR) targets
Example targets: 90%-95% GRR and 102%-105% NRR annually
Keep renewal forecasts and pipeline accurate and up to date
Analyze churn drivers and surface insights for cross-team improvement
Collaboration
Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and RevOps to align strategy and customer outcomes
Facilitate handoffs to senior account managers and support expansion opportunities
Drive internal communication on risk indicators and renewal planning
Surface customer feedback to our Product and Services teams, shaping what we build and deliver
What You Need to Do the Job
Experience and Skills
3-5 years in SaaS account management, renewals, or customer success
Strong relationship-building skills and negotiation experience
Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and renewal tracking processes
Confidence working with mid-market customers, multiple stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
Experience coordinating with procurement and legal teams to navigate renewals and approvals
Fluency with and frequent use of modern AI tools and practices

Organized, analytical, and metrics-driven
Skilled at guiding timing and value conversations with clarity
The Nitty-Gritty
- Compensation: $90k-$100k annually (not commission-based)
- This is a full-time, hybrid position
- Candidate must live within commuting distance of HQ office (Mission Viejo, California)
